In the spring of 2018, Kin Khao opened its doors on Donkersteeg in Ghent, the result of a collaboration between Santisuk Pakwan (known as Toffee) and Dominique Rongé. Since then, the eatery has established itself as a vibrant culinary destination, offering a modern interpretation of Thai street food in the heart of the city.

Situated in Ghent’s historic center and bustling shopping district, Kin Khao sets itself apart from traditional Thai restaurants by embracing the casual, communal spirit of Thailand’s street food culture. The concept draws inspiration from the everyday food experiences found on the streets of Bangkok, exhibiting a flavourful, full of personality, and mouthwatering cooked meals.

Kin Khao’s philosophy is simple: real Thai food, made with quality ingredients, served without pretension. The menu showcases contemporary Thai cuisine, prepared with fresh local produce and enhanced by herbs, spices, and vegetables sourced from Asia. Essential Thai ingredients are imported directly from Thailand, and every curry paste, sauce, and relish is made in-house daily.
